Welcome to my UA-cam Channel! I am a London based luxury travel blogger. My focus is on emerging destinations - countries you probably haven't visited such as Bosnia or parts of countries that you may not have visited such as Nova Scotia in Canada. My blog is for explorers who like to travel off the beaten path - but want to make sure they end their day of adventures with a high thread count on their sheets!
I spend alot of time in and researching boutique hotels - I look for more genuine experiences in hotels that have a sense of place. and I LOVE my food and wine - especially my wine - so there I write alot about that!

5 Most Overpriced Tourist Attractions in London
I’ve lived in London for 20 years - here are the most over priced attractions to avoid.
The shard is an amazing building but do not spend the money on the view at the shard - it is so expensive and you can get the same view around the corner at the Shangri la hotel and spend that money on afternoon tea or even better head up to Gong the highest bar in Europe and spend that money on a cocktail while you enjoy the view.
Speaking of views - the London eye is also overpriced - and you want the eye in your view of London phots. There are great free options from Sky Garden to Horizon tickets are free for both but you need to book ahead on their websites - or be like a Londoner and head to parliament hill on hampstead heath
Madame Tussauds is a bunch of wax figures you could see anywhere in the world - if you want famous people head to the amazing Westminster abbey where many are buried and it is still used for the most important events in London. And it is absolutely spectacular.
I like the Sherlock Holmes Museum but a few rooms in a house is not worth £20. Although they do have a nice gift shop you can visit without paying. If you want a famous Londoner head to the brilliant Churchill war rooms - left untouched since the end of ww2 they are fascinating and there is a fantastic Winston Churchill museum.
The London Dungeon is a bunch of overcrowded small rooms with actors where they turn the lights out a lot and have some sound effects. Go to the real thing the Tower of London which has the royal jewels, beefeaters and brilliant tours. Trust me you won’t regret it
